Today I made a Madeira Cake. If you don't know a Madeira Cake is a Cake but it has orange flavour in it. I had a really fun time making it. I did some mixing and measured some flour, sugar, butter and other stuff. Here is a photo.
Here is a link to the recipe we made!
(I know there is Rum but hardly any!)
Blog ya later!
Your cake looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteWould be cool to see photos of you making it.
Maybe can try something else other than rum.
We are putting in Rum because it is for my Dad's B'day!
DeleteAmazing cake Daniel!
ReplyDeleteDid you make it with anyone else? It looks delicious and yummy. Yesterday, me and my mum made cheese and bacon puffs. It was part of my homework, was it part of your homework too? It would be nice if you added some photos of you making it step by step. I'm really glad that you added the link to the recipe because I want to have a go at making it.
Incredible cake and blogpost. I like how you told the readers what you did.
I am looking forward to reading your next post.
Stay safe and stay awesome, blog you later!
Thank's Rael. I have such a fun time making it! It was also part of my maths. I hope when you make it that it tastes just as good! By the way we made it a few days earlier so that it tastes better when we eat it!
DeleteAmazing!
DeleteKia ora Daniel, what a lovely way to celebrate your Dad's birthday. I like how you have seized the opportunity for learning, whilst doing a fun activity. Measuring ingredients and time are real-life mathematics skills. Did you decorate the cake, like in the photographs on the recipe page, with slices of orange? Is there any left? I think you should try out your newly acquired baking skills on the staff sometime, I know that Mrs Law used to enjoy her samples of baking! Keep up the awesome blogging and fabulous learning Daniel. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Miss McGrath,
DeleteWe did add some topping but I forgot to get a photo. I have started thinking of giving the teachers some baking once we get back to normal!
