Baking Soda & Vinegar Volcano

Salom Bloggers
(Hello in Uzbek)

Today I have done a Baking Soda & Vinegar Volcano with my family. It was really fun. We all got to make our own and choose different colours. I choose Yellow. Sadly I didn't add enough so it didn't come out. My little brother choose Blue. His came through really well.

For those of you who don't know how to make a Volcano, it's quite easy. All you do is mix Baking Soda & Vinegar in a dish you are willing to get dirty.

TIP: DO IT OUTSIDE UNLESS YOU WANT TO CLEAN UP A GIANT MESS!

20/8/2020 Activities

Hallå Bloggers 🌏
(Hello in Swedish)

Today has been fun and interesting. Here is a description about everything.

For Reading I another ARBS. It was about the Dewey Decimal system used in most libraries today. It is only really used in non-fiction though.

For Writing I wrote about this boy riding on a magic carpet. It is also inspired by our school production, Jasmine & Aladdin.

For Maths I did some coding. It was really fun. I coded a superhero to fly and do lots of other cool things. There is a video below.

Finally for my Other activity I did some science. We made Ice cream in a bag! It was really fun. Mine tasted a bit salty.

19/8/2020 Activities

Chaírete Bloggers 🌏
(Hello in Greek)

Today I have done more fun activities.

For Reading I did "I spy with Google Earth". For this you have to spot various landmarks across the world and get a photo, interesting fact and where it is.

For Writing I had to write about me waking up on an isolated island. I really enjoyed writing about it. I wrote 133 words.

For Maths I did Studyladder. Studyladder is a maths program. I had to do some work on decimals. It was kinda hard.

Finally for my Other activity I went onto the Fast Finishers page and went onto Kiwi Kids News. I read about how the elephant population in Kenya has doubled in the past 30 years. It was really fascinating.

Next I did Writing. I had to write a fictional story about this dog who escaped from is owners house. We also had to try and achieve our goal. I wrote 116 words.

Maths was next. I did a Kahoot about decimals. At the time of me doing it I came 3rd but by the end of the week someone else will probably take me over. It was really fun.

Last but not least I had other. This is when we have to do something from a different page on the Te Waka Ako site. I choose coding. It was also super fun.

Animal Myths

Ciao Bloggers

(Hello in Italian)

Today I an posting about our animal myths.

To begin we had to plan. We had to write down the

- Characters

- Setting

- And Problem/Solution

Then we had to follow our plan and write our Myth. It had to be about how an animal got a feature. Mine was about how the cheetah got its spots. Below is a slideshow about it.

My Lockdown Diary

Kia Ora Bloggers!

The coronavirus lockdown was an unprecedented change in life. For 7 weeks everyone in NZ had to stay home. Then last week we came back to school. During the boring Lockdown I was stuck at home with my family. We did the same things over and over again. In that time we did Distance Learning. Distance learning is where we do all our work at home. We did lots of Google Meet and fun Kahoots during them. We even had a special guest on our last Google Meet. Here is a link to my post. We went into Lockdown on the 24th of March and got out of it on the 14th of May. School started on the 18th of May. Below is my Lockdown Diary.
