Trench Day
Hello bloggers around the world🌏👈, on Wednsday we had trench day. It was fun... and annoying. There were a number of rules that we had to follow. The first one was that we were not allowed in the classroom till 9am. Then we entered through Manukau (which had no strings) When we looked over into Waitemata & Hauraki we could see strings all over the place. The aim of the game was to crawl under the strings and not poke any part of your body (especially your head) because then you got shot. We started with 10 points, if you got shot you lost a point. Once we entered the trenches we had to crawl through and find a comfy place. It was really hard to find one. Eventually I found one (for a little bit). Then we had our first task it was a... Basic Facts Test woo-hoo! (sarcasim!). It was ok for the first 10 seconds. I was just trying to do it when... BOOM!! CRASH!!! The teachers had some war noises that they put through speakrs (Uggh!). That continued for the rest of the test. I'm pretty sure I got a worse score than usual. after that we had some Anzac math,it was really hard. stopin fact I didn't even finish it (sigh). Anyway after that we had fruit break. They were mushy pears. They were... OK. Then we had some otr tasks that I have already forgotten about 😑. However I could rember one. We wrote letters!!! They were meant to be like telegraps that we sent to our family from when we were in. A picture of mine is at the bottom of the text. Then we had morning tea. It was soooooooo nice standing up. Thn 30 minutes later... We wnt back it the trenches. W had to do a picture dictation. For this the teachers would read a bit of text then we had to draw picturs about it. When they got to number eight I had to go swimming. It was free time. Then we had lunch. Aftr that we had an activtiy that once again... I forgot 😑. Then we had to untie them. My partner was Marcus T. I was blinfoleded and hat to wrap the string around the stick. Marcus helped me. Eventually we swapped... 10 minutes later. We were done! Trench Day was super fun yet hard.
