SLJ Wk1 D5 A3 - Sports player choice

Hi Bloggers,
This is my fourth Summer Learning Journey activity We had a choice of three activities. I chose to do activity 3 where we got to choose a sports player to research about. Me and Caja choose Jessica Watson. We had to find out her name, a sentence about what she does and a sentence about how they have helped other people. Here is our research.

SLJ Wk1 D3 A1 - Superpowers

Hi Bloggers,
This is my third Summer Learning Journey activity. Like yesterday (and earlier today) we had a choice of three activities. I chose to do activity 1 which was all about superpowers. We had to choose 3 superpowers we wanted and explain why. Here are the superpowers I would like to have, and why.

Superpower 1,

Invisibility

I would like to have invisibility so I could help and do things for people without them knowing it was me.

Superpower 2,

Super Speed

I would like Super speed so If someone was in trouble I could run super fast and go help.

Superpower 3,

Sportsmanship

I would like to have Sportsmanship so that even if I (or my team) loses (or doesn’t win) I would always
congratulate the other person (or team) that won.

SLJ Wk1 D2 A2 - Moon Poem

Hi Bloggers,
This is my first Summer Learning Journey activity that I am posting on my blog. We had the choice of three activities to do. I chose to do a poem about the moon. Here is my poem.

This is my funny poem.
The cow jumped over the moon.
He soon hit a spoon covered in doom.

EH! EH! EH! he cried as he couldn't get out.

Moo! Moo! Moon! he shouted.
Only he was lonely.
Only he was a pony.             
Now he is... MOONED!

This is my emotions poem.
When I landed on the moon,  
I felt very doomed.
I was very scared                    
I felt very despaired.                 
It was frightening,                           
It felt like being struck by lighting,
on the Moon.

Summer Learning Journey - Teaser Week

At school today we were asked to do the first teaser week activity of the Summer Learning Journey. The Summer Learning Journey is about stopping the summer slump. The summer slump is you losing all the learning you learnt over the year. We had to make a poster about Lorde. Here is my poster.

Wk8 and Wk9 Insect work

Hi Bloggers,
This week (and last week) we have been working on a Wētāpunga poster and an invent your own insect slideshow. It was really fun and I would like to share them with you. We are getting prepared for a bug hunter show being filmed at our school on Thursday. I hope you enjoy looking at my work
