Kia Ora Bloggers!

The coronavirus lockdown was an unprecedented change in life. For 7 weeks everyone in NZ had to stay home. Then last week we came back to school. During the boring Lockdown I was stuck at home with my family. We did the same things over and over again. In that time we did Distance Learning. Distance learning is where we do all our work at home. We did lots of Google Meet and fun Kahoots during them. We even had a special guest on our last Google Meet. Here is a link to my post. We went into Lockdown on the 24th of March and got out of it on the 14th of May. School started on the 18th of May. Below is my Lockdown Diary.

Madeira Cake!!

Hello Everyone

Today I made a Madeira Cake. If you don't know a Madeira Cake is a Cake but it has orange flavour in it. I had a really fun time making it. I did some mixing and measured some flour, sugar, butter and other stuff. Here is a photo.

Frog Story Part 4

Today I made my own Kahoot! Kahoot! is something you can use for quizzes. I made one about NZ General Knowledge and another one about our school. Both of them have 10 questions. I had lots and lots of fun. If you would like to make your own kahoot go to kahoot.com

More Pixel Art!

Today for my maths work I did som pixel art. This week we get to choose what we do. "YAY"! Anyway I did a rainbow with a waterfall in the middle. Postcard from my teacher 😊😀

Yesterday I got a postcard from my teacher (Ms Sands).  I was super duper happy to get one. This was the first postcard I have ever gotten from school. Anyway here is what is said.

Bees and Butterflies poem

Kia Ora again Everyone,

Yesterday I wrote a poem about what bees do and what butterflies do. I decorated it with some stickers and some sequins. I am not sure if the glue I used to stick down the sequins has set yet. 

Lines 1, 3, 5, and 7 are about bees and rhyme.

Lines 2, 4, 6, and 8 are about butterflies and rhyme.

I recorded myself reading it here is the recording

Sleeping/Google Meet in a fort

Kia Ora Everyone,

Last night I slept in a fort for the second time during lockdown! I also did my Google meet in it with my class. Well sorta, My class did not come to my house but we were on a google meet and I did mine in the fort. 

The other time I slept in a fort was a few weeks ago for something else. 

Anyway here are some pics of me building it.
